THOMPSON HURTS KNEE IN TRAINING

Marielle Thompson, the reigning Olympic champion and number one ranked female ski cross athlete in the world, has suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate  ligament (ACL) and medial collateral ligament (MCL) in training. Thompson was training in Saas Fee, Switzerland with Canada Ski Cross for a pre-season preparation camp when the fall took place. Thompson was doing a training run and overshot a jump, resulting in the crash. Foot Injuries in the NFL

As winter comes up the NFL playoffs starts to get heated but the risks of playing in cold and sometimes frozen fields go unnoticed. Running and hitting each other is hard enough in an excellent weather can you imagine in a freezing cold day. Not to say the how slippery could it be the frozen grass and that is dangerous, as it becomes so easy to hurt our ankles or feet.
